PQI is going to show a 256GB 2.5" solid state drive at Computex next week. PQI also announced a range of 226x speed flash media available in sizes up to 16GB.
The 256GB drive has a rated transfer speed of 60MB/s and has SATA interface. Two 32GB SSD drives will also be on display, one in 1.8" form factor and one for PCI Express slots.
SSD is quickly becoming a popular storage technology despite its high costs. For notebooks and industrial usage, SSD is an excellent technology, as it's not sensitive to vibration.
