It just seems that the rumors will not die

With the lack of news during the holiday season it seems that the time is ripe for speculation, and once again one of the main topics of speculation is the health of Apple CEO, Steve Jobs.

While people continue to circulate rumors that his health is the main reason that he is not delivering the keynote at MacWorld, our moles continue to indicate that this is not the case. Nonetheless, multiple sites are suggesting that his declining health is the true reason.

Apple has claimed that Jobs’ health is a personal matter that they do not comment on and we agree. While we know that Jobs is a cancer survivor, we are hopeful that all of this talk will end. Apple really has been very secretive over the years and has made decisions to hold back information, which we believe does nothing more than send some of the media into a frenzy trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

While we believe that investors continue to drive much of the speculation, it could be said that Apple is shifting some of the leadership around to give others in the company more of a role in guiding the future of the company and to help investors adjust to not always making Jobs the center of attention.

We will just have to wait and see, but at least for the moment we don’t think there is much to these health rumors, and the decision to pull out of MacWorld has more to do with the current financial crisis than it does anything else. Everyone is trying to save a buck and why should Apple be any different?
