For Volume license customers
We got a quick note from Microsoft saying that Windows 7 RTM (Release to Manufacture) or the final official version in English will start shipping to big customers on August 7th.
Microsoft has confirmed that it will start shipping the new OS to its Volume License (VL) customers with an existing Software Assurance (SA). If you are part of TechNet you will be able to download it on August 6th and this is only for English version, while other remaining languages will be available after October 1st 2009.
The first shipping day still remains October 22nd and many OEMs are already offering a free upgrade to Windows 7 if you buy a PC between today and early 2010.
