DistreeXXL: For computers

Samsung has the BluRay / HD DVD home device, but it doesn’t have short term plans to make a computer combo device.

The company said it has the technology, but it would be very expensive, as they would have to use two lasers; and these don’t come cheap.

In case the market demands such a device, they will be ready to embrace it and the device can be ready in a relatively short time.

It becomes highly unlikely that this will happen in the short term, as HD DVD has lost a lot of supporters and is getting weaker by the day, while BluRay gains more confidence and Samsung already sells computer BluRay Roms and burners and has done so for a while.
