Written by Fuad Abazovic

That's what caused the delay

R600 got delayed to early May and DAAMIT will probably name that product Radeon X2900 XTX. We have few information why the company decided to postpone the launch event. Despite ATI's executives have told world + dog that the product is trouble free, we learned a different story.

GDDR4 board with 1024 MB of memory got delayed till middle of May. We are talking about the availability of such a product. The launch card is now 512MB GDDR3 card codenamed Catseye, production number 102-B006. We are talking about 9.5 inch board with Dual DVI + Vivo, HDMI and HDTV support.

The evaluation samples are expected just after Cebit on the 22nd of March while the production should be ready by the end of the April.

The launch is scheduled for early May and so is the availability of this GDDR3 card. GDDR4 card will be available later than early May, middle of the month if not later.
