AMD misled investors with the R600 HD generation?

At least two or three of AMD's directors or Vice Presidents officially said that the R600 launch was pushed for strategic reasons and that the company wanted to launch all of the Rx6x0 chips together.

Well on Monday AMD will launch the R600 based Radeon HD 2900 XT and paper launch the Radeon HD 2600 and 2400 cards. We confirmed this from various sources and despite that Henry Richard said it will ship all DirectX 10 cards in volume, this won't happen until June at the earliest. The real volume shipment of the 65 nanometre DirectX 10  parts is scheduled for late June.

The RV630, Radeon HD 2600 and the RV610, Radeon HD 2400 has a serious bug that delayed volume production for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

So much about strategic launch, unless DAAMIT nowday consider chip bugs and delays as a part of its strategy. It will be interesting to see if someone asks AMD about this on the next conference call, as they had to warn the money community about this.
