We noticed that you can buy a Geforce 8800 Ultra for about €600 now. A few brands are already available at this price and that includes Palit, usually the cheapest one around and Gigabyte. Both of these cards are clocked at the default 612 MHz core and 2160 MHz memory and we are talking about cards in stock.

XFX has a none overclocked card for €590 available in stock and this is definitely a huge price change, just a month after the official announcement.
