For 2008

Notebooks are a cycle thing. If you are ready with a good chipset the big ODM's and OEMs will consider you for the next generation, and ATI has a chance to return to the notebook market with style. ATI really slipped in the notebook market previously and lost a massive market share in 2007, but we've learned that the company has already scored a lot of design wins for 2008.

Most of the notebooks you’ve seen, especially the ones with Intel chipssets inside, were powered by Nvidia graphics and Nvidia was really dominant this year with its discrete mobile parts.

So, investors were right on this one. Nvidia will lose market share in the notebook market, and we will be following this one closely, as ATI still has to introduce its 55nm notebook parts.
