HIS HD 3870 IceQ 3 Turbo

HIS has finally listed the IceQ-cooled HD 3870 branded HSI HD 3870 IceQ 3 Turbo. The IceQ cooling also brings higher clocks, gold plated DVI's, 512MB of GDDR4 memory and a blue PCB that looks nice with the IceQ cooler.

HIS has managed to overclock this card to 850MHz for the core and 1190MHz (2380MHz effective) for 512MB of GDDR3 memory. This is a nice factory overclock from reference 775/1125MHz, but we are almost certain that with IceQ cooling it might even go further. The only drawback of the IceQ cooling is that it is a dual slot cooling solution; but bear in mind that it pushes the hot air outside which helps keep the air within the chassis cool.

As with the entire HD 3800 series this card also supports DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1. This card also has the highest factory overclock on the GPU. Sapphire is close, with its Atomic HD 3870 and has higher clocked memory, but the highest GPU overclock throne now belongs to HIS.
