Now it's official

After the announcement made on BattleCast, Electronic Arts has officially announced the development of Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, a new expansion pack.

As we all could guess from the title, the new expansion is centered around Kane and the rise of NOD. The story will feature the rebirth of Nod after the 2nd Tiberium War and over the events of the 3rd one, all in all 20 years of storyline.

New features include six new sub-factions and a lot of new units and structures for GDI, NOD and the Scrin, and also a new "strategic layer" where you would establish a base, customize armies and attack on a global scale.

The game should be available in Spring 2008 for Xbox 360 and PC.
