On the eve of the R680 release, ATI informed its trustees that there will be a new driver. The new driver should increase the performance with some titles, and it should be ready any day now.
R680 will be commercially known as Radeon 3870 X2, and it will be available next week, and as you can imagine, it will be strong in higher resolutions with FSAA and Aniostropic filtering on.
Crysis is one of the games that needs tuning up, but we have heard that ATI is working to improve the performance of other titles. After all, this is a one PCB with two Crossfire capable chips on it, and it will help the whole Crossfire line.
