Updated: Gainward goes for a high factory OC

Gainward's new G92 8800 GTS card with 1024MB of GDDR3 memory has been listed on Alternate.de. According to their spec sheet this card comes with a high factory overclock, the core runs at 730MHz and 1GB of GDDR3 memory runs at 1050MHz (2100MHz effectively).

Gainward's new G92 8800 GTS 1GB hasn't yet been pixellized, but expect it to show itself soon. The reference clock for the core has been pushed all the way from 650MHz to 730MHz whereas the memory has been bumped from 972MHz on the 512MB reference version up to 1050MHz. That's an 80MHz overclock for the core and a 78MHz overclock for the memory, not bad at all.

The Shader clock, as well as the cooling solution employed in this card, still remain a mystery. Stay tuned for more info.

You can find it on Alternate.de here.

Update: We missed the additional specs listed on Alternate.de Web site, which states that Shader clock is 1825MHz, which is 200MHz more than reference 1625MHz. The cooling is still a mystery since these additional specs just state that it is a dual slot cooling solution, but until the new Gainward card gets pixellized we don't know if they decided to change the reference cooling.

Props go to our readers for this update.
