Nvidia has decided to rename its upcoming IGP chipset. The Nvidia MCP78U was supposed to be branded as Geforce 9200, but someone decided that it would be wiser to brand it as Geforce 8300.
This was a last minute decision, as Nvidia plans to release these motherboards early next month. It's time to print the boxes and it might be a big issue if you ended up with Geforce 9200 on your packaging, as this would really be misleading.
It looks like Nvidia will have at least half a dozen new things to show at CeBIT and that includes many motherboards, including the MCP78 series, Nforce 790i, Nforce 790i Ultra, Geforce 9600GT, Geforce 9800GX2 and probably something else that we missed.
