Passive cooling and 512MB GDDR3

Asus has announced the EAH3650 Passive, a silent, passively cooled HD3650 with 512MB of GDDR3 memory.

The 55nm RV635 core is chilled by Asus's in-house V-cool passive heatsink, and it looks pretty nice, too. Let's hope it performs as well as it looks.

The card is reference clocked, 725MHz for the GPU and 1400MHz for the 512MB of GDDR3 memory. The 256MB version has slightly faster memory running at 1600MHz, while the GPU clock stayed at the reference 725MHz.

As with all HD3650 cards, this one also supports DX10.1, Shader model 4.1 and has HDMI with 5.1 channel sound. Sounds like a nice choice for an HTPC and an occasional night of casual gaming.
