Sparkle has decided to put 1GB of GDDR3 memory on its mainstream 9600GT cards. Available with both passive and active cooling, these cards will have 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1,800MHz.

Both cards will work at 650MHz for the core and will come with 64 stream processors clocked at 1,625MHz. The passive cooled one will use Sparkle's Cool-Pipe cooling with three heatpipes. Both cards support PCI-Express 2.0, DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.

The price and the availability date for these two 1GB cards are still unknown, but we expect the price to end up at around €140-150.
