XFX announces Black Edition cards

XFX has
announced two new factory overclocked cards that will be branded as the Black Edition. These two G92-based cards will be available as limited editions and both of them will be bundled with Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed.

As for the specs, the Black Edition 9800 GTX will end up clocked at 760MHz for the core, with 1GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 2,280MHz and the Shaders at 1,900MHz. The card is HDMI capable via an HDMI upgrade kit which is included in the bundle.

The new Black Edition 9800GTX uses reference cooling with a new XFX black sticker placed over the cooler. The 9800GX2 Black Edition will work at 700MHz for the core, with 1GB of GDDR3 memory working at 2,100MHz and the Shaders clocked at 1,700MHz.

Both cards are listed at Geizhals.at, but unfortunately, neither of them are available. The lowest listed price for the Black Edition 9800GX2 stands at €491.87, while the Black Edition 9800GTX has the lowest price set at €309.40. You can find them listed here.
