But DDR2 9500GS in August

Nvidia is not going to have an easy entry level transition from Geforce 8 to Geforce 9, but it still looks that it will be just in time for back to school.

Geforce 9500GT, the new DDR3 entry-level card, will launch at some point in July, but the more attractive and cheaper Geforce 9500GS with DDR2 memory is currently scheduled for August.

We are talking about the volume shipments but some smaller volumes might actually see the light of day even before these dates.

This will be the final piece of puzzle in completing the Geforce 9 series launch and Nvidia better be working on Geforce 10.

GT200 aka D10U also launches around June / July. but despite the codename we are not sure if Nvidia dares to call it Geforce 10. We’ve been surprised before.
