Those still using their PlayStation Vita handhelds will likely be sad to learn that Sony is planning an update for March that will remove both the Vita Maps and the Vita YouTube app from the handheld.

Sony is reportedly planning to cut 1,000 jobs in its mobile phone division. The latest round of cuts comes just months after the company announced it was laying off 1,000 people in the same division.

We had to do a few double takes to make sure that we were not missing something here, but believe it or not Sony has released a new firmware update for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). The last time that the PSP was new firmware it was way back in August of 2011. The new update is said to improve stability of the system software.
