Verizon lists Motorola Droid 3

$459 contract free
Verizon has started taking orders for Motorola’s new QWERTY beast, dubbed Droid 3.

The new droid features a spacious 5-row keyboard, 4-inch qHD display and a dual-core 1GHz processor. Sadly, we don’t see it winning any design prizes, at least not from people blessed with the gift of sight. However, the somewhat bulky design is the price to pay for the massive keyboard.

On the spec front there is hardly anything to complain about, apart from the lack of 4G LTE radio. The phone features an 8MP camera with LED flash, along with a front-facing camera, Android 2.3 with Moto’s custom UI, Swype support and a generous 16GB of internal storage. At $459 contract-free, or $199 with a two-year contract it also offers relatively good value for money, as it's the best Android offering with a QWERTY keyboard.

Also, Fudo says it's powered by a Tegra 2, just to annoy the usual suspects in the comments section. (We made this bit up, it seems to be a TI part, but feel free to bash Fudo anyway. sub.ed.)
