SCO goes for Chapter 11

The anti-Linux company SCO has filed for Chapter 11 protection.

The company which has unsuccessfully sued Novell and is currently suing IBM said that the move is to ensure that its business continues nd that
assets remain for continued support of customers and channel partners.

According to a press release SCO wants to reorganise its self and will maintain all normal business operations throughout the bankruptcy proceedings.

Darl McBride, President and CEO, The SCO Group said that Chapter 11 reorganization provides the Company with an opportunity to protect its
assets during this time while focusing on building SCO's future plans.
