MacRumors
is reporting that Apple has quietly upgraded its MacBook series notebooks. Apparently, the company had listed the new machines on the Apple Store Website, but it has been removed from the site. Fortunately, the guys snapped a screenshot while it was still there, and you can see it here.

The MacBook comes with 2.0 to 2.2GHz Core2Duo processors, GMA X3100 integrated graphics, up to 4GB of memory and up to 250GB of storage. The MacBook Pro has a new upgrade option: you'll be able to get a 2.6GHz processor for US$250, and the storage has also been bumped up to 250GB.

The cheapest 13.3" white MacBook sells for US$1,099. It comes with a 2.0GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 80GB hard drive and a combo drive; the latter is as a major disappointment, since it's next to impossible to find a $1,000 notebook without a DVD-RW drive these days.

For US$1,299 you get a 2.2GHz processor, a DVD burner and a 120GB hard drive. Finally, the black 13.3" costs US$1,499 and comes with a 2.2GHz CPU, 2GB of memory, 160GB hard drive and DVD-RW.
