Wi-FiPod ?

According to Digitimes Apple will launch several Wi-Fi iPods in the latter half of the year. The Wi-Fi modules will be produced by USI, while Foxconn will be the OEM assembler. Details have yet to emerge, as it is not clear whether the new devices will be able to access Apple's iTunes Music Store. Apart from the iTunes service these devices could potentially provide users with some rudimentary web capabilities on the go.

Other companies, such as Creative, Samsung and Sony are working on similar products. With the advent of Microsoft's Zune and Wi-Fi smart phones, which can act as MP3 players, we will probably be seeing more and more wireless players.

More here.
