Toughpower 1500W, quad Core/GPU

Thermaltake has launched a new addition to its Toughpower series, the all new Toughpower 1500W. We were surprised when Thermaltake decided to release the 1200W edition, but 1500W with 120Amps on the 12V rail just sounds insane.

The new Toughpower 1500W is ATX 12V 2.3 and EPS 2.91 compatible and it comes with support for AMD/Intel quad core processors and quad GPUs. It has a stable 1500W continuous output with peak power of 1600W. The four +12V rails offers a combined load of 120A.

As a representative of its Toughpower enthusiast series the new 1500W PSU features modular cable management, active PFC of >0.99 and high efficiency of up to 87 percent. The entire PSU is cooled by a bottom positioned 140mm quiet ball-bearing fan. It comes with over current, over Voltage, under Voltage, over temperature, over power, and short-circuit protection.

High output and four +12V rails means that you can power almost anything with this PSU. Thermaltake wanted to make sure that you have enough connectors to do so, and thus it included a 20+4pin main connector, 4+4-pin CPU power and 8pin CPU power connectors, eight 4-pin Molex and two floppy connectors as well as eight SATA connectors. Thermaltake claims quad GPU support with the Toughpower 1500W, so it comes with four 8-pin PCI-Express and four 6-pin PCI-Express connectors.

Thermaltake's new Toughpower PSU gives all that in style in a high-tech black coating with a noise preventive silicon pad. You can check out the product page here.
