Intel optimizes its tools for Xcode 3.0 development environment

Intel announced that they have upgraded their software tools to now support Apple’s new Leopard and Xcode 3.0 development environment. According to Intel, the latest version of its C++ compiler, Fortran Compiler, Threading Building Blocks, Math Kernel Library, and Performance Primitives now offer optimized support for Mac OS X Leopard.

The tools platform will allow Mac developers to enjoy the same powerful toolset that has been available to PC developers for some time. Many Mac high profile developers are using or having been using Intel’s development tools on the Mac platform since the initial release. The optimizations should help developers get even more performance out of the Mac applications that they are developing.
