Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP with DisplayPort

Dell will definitely change many Christmas wish lists with the launch of a new 30-inch LCD branded Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP.

The new LCD display comes with a native resolution of 2560x1600, brightness of 370 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Additional features are 8ms response time, 3 year warranty, four-port USB hub, a multi-format card reader and a hefty price. The interesting thing is that this "little" beauty has DisplayPort in addition to S-video, Analog, DVI-D with HDCP, HDMI, Component and Composite connectors.

We said that the price tag is hefty; $2,034 is just out of reach for many consumers. It should ship first in Japan, on December 20th for a price equivalent to $2,018. Unfortunately, Europe is in for a rip off once again, and according to various posts this LCD display will cost €1990 on the continent, which ends way pricier than in the States or Japan.
