Backbone broken

Hundreds of thousands of World of Warcraft players were forced to get a life over the weekend when an outage shut down the Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game.

Although the problem appears to be fixed, a fault at backbone level of the game is believed to have caused the crash. Some parts of the world were running a bit shaky on Sunday night.

There are some complaints that WoW needs to improve its infrastructure. as its networks are simply dealing with too many users.
