Apple used the 'Let's talk iPhone' event to announce the latest incranation of the iPod touch. This time around, the touch friendly iPod will feature the praised Apple Retina display, Facetime, 720p capable camera as well as some of the new iOS 5 features and the connection to the iCloud.

In addition to those, Apple has announced that the iPod touch will also get some of the non-phone iOS 5 features including iMessage, Game Center as well as the connection to the new iCloud.

The new iPod touch will be available as of 12th of October with a US $199 price tag for the 8GB version, US $299 for the 32GB one and US $399 for the 64GB one.
