Velocity Micro has added Intel's 2nd Gen Core i7 Extreme Edition CPU, aka Sandy Bridge E, to its lineup.

The new Sandy Bridge E Core i7 3960X and the Core i7 3930K are both available in Velocity Micro's Raptor systems. Velocity Micro uses Asus X79 Pro motherboard that can be paired up with both of the noted CPUs and up to 32GB of memory. Velocity Micro's President and CEO Randy Copeland added that Velocity Micro has always been on the "bleeding edge of techology" and that it is crtically important for Velocity Micro to offer Intel's 2nd Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs from day one in order to solidify the position as a premier builder of ultra performance PCs.

Of course, high-end systems come with a high-end price, so Velocity Micro's Raptor Z90 stars at US $2799 and can go a lot higher if you add more CPU or GPU power to it, but in the end you get a well built and tested high-end gaming system. You can check them out here.
