CES 2012: 5.3-inches of phone, AT&T LTE 4G ready

This morning, AT&T has officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.3-inch mega smartphone will be releasing in the United States.

When it was first unveiled to the general public in October 2011, the Samsung Galaxy Note caught the eyes of many consumers due to its hybrid smartphone / tablet screen size. The display measures in at a whopping 5.3-inches, or just big enough to consider a small tablet. In other words, it probably isn't a good idea to be storing this smartphone in your back pocket.

The device launched nineteen days ago in Korea with full LTE support. AT&T has also added LTE support to the phone, a feature that the carrier is already pushing very hard in the upper reaches of its smartphone lineup. We look forward to reporting on mobile dataspeed benchmarks as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
