Busy as a bee

The last few days were busy for Cyberlink, as it has released the new MediaShow 4, a new version of PowerDVD and a social network site called MoovieLive.com.

We already wrote about the new MediaShow and its new and intuitive 3D "liquid" interface, which we had a chance to see during CeBIT. This photo and video management application feels and looks great. The new MediaShow 4 also brings a new slideshow features, direct online publishing via Flickr and Youtube and the usual photo and video enhancing, sharing and burning.

The new PowerDVD 8 is officially announced, and we wrote about that one also during CeBIT. It comes with support for HD audio and video formats, including AVCHD and Blu-ray, Movie collection feature and the so-called movie remix feature. Last but least, the MoovieLive feature  is actually a social network site, somewhat similar to IMDB.com.

With the release of the new PowerDVD 8, Cyberlink has also launched its Moovielive.com Web site. This Web site is connected to the new PowerDVD and lets users share and check out comments, reviews, remixes and also rate the movies that they watched. It looks good and it might have a bright future once things get going.

The new MediaShow 4 is available online now for US $49.95 and €44.99, and the retail version should be also available sometime in May. Cyberlink's PowerDVD 8 is also available online and it is a bit more expensive. Depending on the version, it costs US$99.95/€79.99 for the Ultra version, US$69.95/€59.99 for the Deluxe version and US$49.95/€39.99 for the plain simple one.

You can find additional info on the Cyberlink's website.
