App Player for PC gets boost


Bluestacks, which saw its App Player software get a Million downloads in first 10 days of beta release has announced that it is getting backing from the Chipmaker Qualcomm.

BlueStacks runs Android apps on Windows and announced today that Qualcomm has invested an undisclosed amount in the company. Vice president of Qualcomm Ventures Nagraj Kashyap said that consumers are increasingly looking for computing experiences that enable them to access their apps across different platforms,” BlueStacks was well positioned to capitalize on the marriage of mobile and PC.

BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma said that the market has taken so well to the beta. BlueStacks recently partnered with top app developers such as Halfbrick Evernote and Korea’s COM2US to distribute their titles to the one billion strong PC market.
