Obama orders federal agencies to shift to mobile apps

by on24 May 2012

Anytime, anywhere, on any device

US President Barack Obama has instructed all major agencies to make more of their services available on mobile platforms.

In a statement Obama argued that Americans deserve a government that works for them anytime, anywhere, on any device. Analysts welcomed the move, but they are also a bit cautious, as the move would entail a lot of development and freeing up more broadband spectrum to the private sector.

The shift could see an expansion in public access to government data and the Obama administration hopes to encourage innovation and employment in related services.

Now we can sit back and wait for Rush Limbaugh and online conspiracy nuts to explain how it’s all a leftist-socialist-Kenyan plot to seize more heavenly broadband spectrum from Jesus or something.
