iOS 6 beta 2 is out for developers

If you are brave enough

If you cannot wait for the official iOS 6 update and you happen to be a registered developer in the Apple universe, you have a chance to get OTA (over the air) update to iOS 6 beta 2.

The new update is 322MB and 299MB in size for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S respectively and the new iPad will get a 497MB update. The update fixes a few bugs and brings some minor updates, like a little tweak in the passbook application, reintroduction of 3G toggle, new Twitter icon, keyboard doesn’t skip clicks etc. You can get an in depth look at the features here.

The update is labeled as build 10A5338d and compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. We are not aware that you can simply find it somewhere on internet and install on your phones, tablets or music players but it’s worth Googling about it, maybe someone will figure it out soon enough.

Some websites including imzdl.com claims it is possible but we haven’t tried it. In case you have it up and running and you are not developer please let us know so we can spread the word. Apple has a good track record of delivering fast updates for beta builds and we expect to see quite a few until fall time when we get the real iPhone 5, possibly simply called the new iPhone and the iOS 6 software for older phones.
