Being an AMD executive these days doesn't seem to be a very appealing job, and yet another high ranked official has chosen to call it quits.
Stephen DiFranco, VP of Consumer Sales and Marketing, is leaving the company. DiFranco was the man behind AMD's attack on the retail market and its renewed focus on the notebook market a couple of years ago.
DiFranco has more than two decades of experience in the channel market and prior to his tenure at AMD he worked for a number of other tech companies, most notably Sony, Maxtor and Iomega.
It is still unclear if he left of his own accord or if he was asked to leave following a number of recent high profile departures at AMD, which included Bob Brewer and Phil Hester.
