Testing for it can infect your PC

According to the SANS Internet Storm Center, an independent site that tracks online threats, has issued an urgent warning that an SQL injection worm is again using a database attack to infect vulnerable Web sites. The worm apparently adds invisible code to the Web site that can force Web site visitors to unknowingly download malware onto their PCs. So far, there are about 4,000 reported infected sites.

The Web site, http://isc.sans.org/ , warns users NOT to visit the domain named in the Google search ["site:your company domain (ex. XXXXX.com) winzipices.cn."] to attempt to determine if your Web site has been hit. Doing so can apparently infect your PC / laptop with malware. The ISC site says, “Fair warning, if you Google this hostname, you will find exploited sites that will try and reach out and "touch" you... even if you are looking at the "cached" page.  Proceed at your own risk.”

As always, to protect your PC and laptop from intruders, make sure your virus protection software is up to date, don’t click on links that you don’t recognize or open emails from senders you don’t recognize.
