Wii U to get Splinter Cell: Blacklist

by on31 October 2012

Ubisoft still has yet to announce it

The Wii U will be getting Splinter Cell: Blacklist. The news of the title came as a total surprise the first time we heard about it in June, as Ubisoft had yet to announce it. Now, GameStop has joined in with stores in Ireland showing box art for the Wii U version.

Ubisoft is still silent on the Wii U version, but we do know that the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC are due to get the title in the Spring.  It is hard to say if the Wii U version will arrive at the same time or not.

Our sources claim to have heard rumors of a Wii U version in development, but nothing concrete as far as a release date. For the time being, we have to believe that Ubisoft is planning an announcement in the near future; and we suspect that at this time we will hear if the Wii U version is also planned for a spring release. However, we can’t think that we would see promotional materials if that were not at least the plan right now.
