Samsung not looking for settlement with Apple

We shall fight in the hills, we shall never surrender

It appears Samsung is not willing to follow in HTC’s footsteps and appease Apple. A top Samsung exec told reporters that the outfit is not seeking a settlement in its patent disputes with Apple.

The dispute is global, stretching across four continents and ten countries, but Samsung is clearly unwilling to back down.

Samsung mobile executive J.K. Shin said the company has no intention of reaching an agreement with Apple, similar to an agreement reached between Cupertino and HTC last week.

So what does this mean for consumers? Not much, just more of the same. Will see a continuation of the legal war, more injunction requests, appeals, lawsuits and half-baked apologies.

Well, at least it’s good news for lawyers. Samsung and Apple are paying for their kids’ Ivy League education.
