by on17 December 2012

Two million sold on launch weekend

Android is really big in China? Yes it is, but so is Apple. The iPhone 5 launched in mainland China over the weekend and it turns out Apple managed to sell more than two million units in two days.

Apple CEO Tim Cook described customer response to the iPhone in China as “incredible” and pointed out that the launch broke all previous sales records.

"China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products," said Cook.

By the end of December, the new iPhone will be available in more than 100 countries. Also, as of last week it also has Google Maps.
