Multiplayer, leaderboards, cloud save and achievements

Google has announced a few novelties in the Google Play game departement, with four new additions to the Google Play Game Services that will bring much better gameplay not only across different Android devices but also across actual platforms.

The Google Play Game Services novelties will include real-time multiplayer, leaderboards, cloud saves and achievements. Unsuccesfully demonstrated with the upcoming game Riptide 2, you can actually sign-in with your own Google+ and find players to compete with in real-time. It also uses Google+ to access your own leaderboard scores, compare it with other users and store your saves and achievements accross devices.

Google Play Game Services are already available to developers and there are some that have already impletemented it in their own upcoming games. Any developer will have access to it and will surely give another dimension to many games that will appear on Google Play Store in the near future.
