Punkbuster and a new server browser among the highlights

Kaos Studios
has finally released the long-awaited version 1.1.0 patch for the PC version of Frontlines Fuel of War.

Hot on the heels of the recent update for Battlefield 2142, the 272MB patch contains Punkbuster anti-cheat support and a new server browser among the major highlights of the release. In addition, the 1.1.0 patch for the PC also contains spawn protection, user interface improvements, gameplay tweaks, and enhancements to deal with multiple gameplay balance issues.

While we have just started to explore all of the enhancements that are part of the 1.1.0 patch, on the surface it does look to be a very positive step in the right direction to deal with many of the complains that players of FFOW have had since the title was released.

Whispers are now already being heard that an additional “hot fix” will be coming very quickly to deal with a couple of issues that are a part of the 1.1.0 patch. According to these whispers, we should expect this “hot fix” for the 1.1.0 patch within the next week or two.
