At least the model names

MSI has issued a press release for its lineup of the notebooks based on AMD's Puma mobility platform. There aren't many details yet, but at least we now have the first seven model names so we can keep an eye out for them.

The first models that will hit the store shelves are: MSI GX630, MSI GT735, MSI PX211, MSI PX210, MSI PR311, MSI EX300, MSI EX630. The press release also states that there will be other models as well, but for now we have to be satisfied with these seven. As we can see from the model names, there will be two models with 12.1-inch screens, two with 13.3-inch screens and the rest of them are either standard 15.4-inch or 17-inch models.

According to the press release some of these will be equipped with Hybrid Crossfire and some of them will come without it. MSI will probably use this on the gaming series, also known as the GX and GT series  to squeeze a bit more power out of their notebooks.

As you may know the Puma platform is powered by AMD's Turion X2 Ultra processor, and we are trying to get more info on these models. We already took a picture of the GT735 17-inch model that comes packed with HD 3850 graphics card, and it does look a lot better on the design side. You can find it here.

Stay tuned for more info.
