A step toward retail

Microsoft Europe has opened its EMEA etail store, and it simply calls it the Microsoft Store. You can now buy products directly from Microsoft without much hassle.

The store is available in the U.K. and for the Germany, and Microsoft partners with UPS in order to get the products to your doorstep.

Microsoft still gives you the retail boxes and not the download version of programs, and you can buy Vista and many office applications. The delivery time depends where you are and ranges from one to fifteen days.

It is interesting to notice that Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1 actually costs just 10 euro more than Vista Business Edition SP1.

You can visit the store here.
