Microsoft boss takes Obamacare poison chalice

by on18 December 2013

Anything is better than Office

The brains behind Microsoft Office Kurt DelBene is to take over the poisoned chalice which is the Obamacare website. The HealthCare.gov project has been a nightmare since it launched on October 1 and provided fuel for Republicans who want Obamacare axed and the money given to rich people.

DelBene was president of the Microsoft Office Division and will start his new job on Wednesday. In a press statement Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of Health and Human Services said that DelBene had proven expertise in heading large, complex technology teams and in product development and will be a tremendous asset.

DelBene will work closely with Sebelius, the White House, and the teams and senior leadership in place at HHS and CMS to see this project through its next phase. The CMS team continues to build on their initial progress. He will do the job at least the first half of next year, Sebelius said in the statement.
