Coppers latest theory

Coppers investigating
the horrific double murder of two French students in London think they were tortured and killed for two computer games consoles and the PIN codes to their bank cards.

Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, both 23, were stabbed 243 times, tied to chairs, gagged and burnt. The burglar's target appeared to be two Sony PSP consoles, worth around £100 each.  There is also a theory that they were repeatedly stabbed until they revealed their PIN codes. The murderer might have been involved in the theft of a laptop computer six days before the murder when a set of keys was also stolen.

The murder scene was decimated after the young scientists described as "two of the brightest students of their generation", were doused in an accelerant and the bedsit was firebombed.
