Microsoft is set to extend its range of Sidewinder gaming peripherals with the addition of a new gaming keyboard called the Sidewinder X6; and if nothing else, it has a rather unique design inasmuch as it has a detachable numeric keypad that can be attached to either side of the keyboard.

We're not sure how useful this is, but it might come in handy for some, and the same goes for the "cruise control" feature, which allows you to repeat keystrokes without holding a specific key down. It also appears to have some programmable keys on the left-hand side.

What appears to be a range of multimedia keys can be found at the top of the keyboard, although we're not sure what the two round things are meant to be for. The keyboard should be using a USB port to connect to your PC and it's expected to retail for US$79.95 (€50/£40) when it's launched sometime in September.
