MSI is getting ready to finally showcase its MSI Megabook PR200 which was demonstrated at CES back in January. The key feature of this notebook is that it is based on the Santa Rosa platform and has a new chipset under the hood.

We are talking about a 12.1 inch notebook with a display resolution of 1,280 x 800, comes with Windows XP and weighs 1.8 KG. The top model has 2x 1,024 MB memory + 1,024 MB Turbo Memory, 160GB hard drive, DVD+/- RW DL, Core 2 Duo 7300 2x 2.00 GHz, Intel GMA X3000 onboard graphics with a maximum of 256 MB shared memory.

The notebook also has HDMI, USB 2.0, Gb LAN, WLAN with support for 802.11a/b/g and the new fast n standard, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, 1.3 MPixel web camera and a 4 in 1 card reader.

It comes with an eight cell battery and should cost about €1,200 which is a nice price for this compact model.

The cheaper model MSI Megabook PR200-T7116VB has a 2x 1.8 GHz CPU and 1GB memory + 1GB Turbo Memory and comes with Vista business, while the rest of the specification looks the same.

You can check out both of them here.
