Tennessee lawmaker's son not booked yet

A Tennessee
lawmaker's son, who is believed to have hacked Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's Yahoo e-mail, will not have to face charges yet.

A grand jury in Chattanooga investigating the case ended its meeting without indicting David Kernell, 20, a University of Tennessee student. Kernell was widely believed to be "Rubico," the person who more or less described how the Yahoo account had been compromised using the password recovery feature. Rubico's email was linked to Kernell.

Kernell's father, Democratic Tennessee State Representative Mike Kernel, further confirmed his son was the subject of the investigation, and on Saturday investigators searched David Kernell's campus apartment.

However it might not be over for Kernell. Justice Department spokeswoman Laura Sweeney told the AP that the "government's inquiry into this matter is ongoing."
