by on18 November 2015

New bundle gives US $49.99 value to Android TV

Nvidia has launched a new Shield Android TV bundle, giving a free remote to the Android TV console at the same price.

Nvidia Shield Android TV console was already an interesting buy and while it came bundled with Shield Controller, the biggest drawback was that the Shield Remote was an optional accessory priced at rather high US $49.99.

As of today, Nvidia has decided to give the Shield Remote as a freebie in a new bundle at the same US $199.99 price tag.

In case you missed it earlier, the Shield Android TV is based on Nvidia's Tegra X1 octa-core SoC, with four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores and Maxwell GPU with 256 cores. It also comes with 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card slot, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and more.

You can check out more details regarding the new bundle over at Nvidia's Shield Android TV page.
