The Mirror Special Edition and Arctosa

Razer has launched two new gaming keyboards based on the previously released Lycosa keyboard, the Lycosa Mirror Special Edition and the Razer Arctosa. Both of the new keyboards have the same design and main features as the Lycosa, but with slight differences that will represent different market and gamer segments.

The new Razer Lycosa Mirror Special Edition is a result of feedback that Razer got from its customers concerning the Lycosa's rubber key finish. The new Mirror Edition will have, as the name suggests, a high-gloss mirror finish and enhanced backlightning, as this wasn't quite bright enough for some on the original Lycosa.

The Razer Arctosa is something that can be considered as a budget version of the Lycosa, as it has no backlight, but it will feature fully macro-programmable keys as well as media access keys and will be available with standard silver-printed letters or as a black on black edition for those that know their way around the keyboard.

The original and award winning Razer Lycosa will still be sold while the Mirror Edition should appear sometimes in December with a price tag set at US$79.99, the same as the original Lycosa. The cheaper, US$49.99, Arctosa should hit retail sometime in November.
