The Silentflux gaming

During IDF Taipei earlier this week, we bumped into Danish Noiselimit, which was showing off its latest Silentflux cooler which is targeting gamers and high-end users. You might've seen some of their products under the Akasa brand name, but we doubt you'll see the new Silentflux gaming from them.

Noiselimit relies on bubble pump liquid cooling technology and although it has some rather unique features compared to most coolers, the coolers also have some issues due to the design, and as such can only be installed a specific way, or they won't perform very well.

What's interesting with the new Silentflux gaming cooler is not only its massive size and the unusual air duct that funnels cool air from the 120mm fan to other hotspots on the motherboard such as the PWM area and memory, but more specifically the mounting mechanism. Noiselimit have made an adjustable mount that will allow you to fit this cooler to LGA 775 and LGA 1366 motherboard and maybe even LGA 1156 boards, but it's too early to say as yet.

The design is quite simple, as you just slide the screw from one position to the other. We'd expect to see other cooler manufacturers to come up with similar solutions as well. The Silentflux gaming is good to up to 200W of cooling power which should make this a decent, low-noise option for overclockers, although this cooler isn't meant for extreme overclocking.
